Microblading is a method of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the outer layer of the skin which is called epidermis. Because the color is closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine, but do not blur after healing.
The difference to ordinary permanent make-up is that Microblading is not done by a machine. The pigments are manually placed into the skin using Microblading manual pen which is equipped with sterile packaged blades (U-shape). The blade glides with gentle pressure over the skin and causes a fine cut. The cut is as fine as a papercut and you can hardly distinguish it from real hair.
Microblading comes with many techniques and approaches. There are 3D Eyebrows, where the hairstrokes are laid out in a specific pattern across the eyebrow ridges, creating a 3D effect. There are also 6D Eyebrows where the actual depth of the microblade varies on each individual hair stroke that also includes shading. This creates an even more dimensional, fuller, and natural result. Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People, who are suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss, can benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren't happy with their eyebrows. This procedure is perfect for both men and women.
Microblading typically takes two appointments to complete. In the first appointment, the client is profiled and the eyebrows are drawn on with a waterproof pencil, so the artist and client can agree on the look. The artist then microblades the eyebrows and the client is ready to go back into the world. There is some mild scabbing and aftercare required, but your microblading should be completely healed in 30 days.
The second appointment is a touch up at least 30 days after the first session. This allows enough time for the ink in the epidermis to naturally slough off, and the color to settle into your skin. In the touch up appointment, the artist can see how your skin has received the ink and make any necessary corrections.
Sometimes a client’s skin undertones may have unexpected effects on the ink's color, and the artist may need to add color to adjust. These kind of corrections are normal with any microblading artist and an essential part of the process, as everyone’s skin is different and receives ink differently.
What's the difference between 3D-Microblading & 6D-Advanced Microblading?
3D Microblading have improved overtime with thinner needles used resulting in more natural and defined hair strokes. Each technique has significant differences regarding the stroke thickness and their placement. 6D Microblading is the latest technique using the thinnest diameter needles combined with a beautiful and realistic stroke pattern/style to achieve the most natural results: thin, clean & crisp hairstrokes.
3D Microblading is recommended for clients who already have eyebrows but wishes to fill some hair-like strokes in for fuller looking brows. The 6D Microblading and Shading procedure is a combination of the advanced microblading technique & the shading. It creates an imitation of the hair-stroke effect and includes the shading to blend the added hair strokes with your natural eyebrows. If the client prefer a more polished 'makeup look' then we will add the shading - to blend the added hair strokes with your natural eyebrows. The 6D is recommended for clients who have finely thin eyebrows, faint, light or very little eyebrows hair. This procedure is ideal for clients with oily skin and for corrections.
